Harcourt Chambers would like to congratulate Oliver Wraight for a splendid performance in this year’s Flora London Marathon on 26th April.
This website reported last month that Oliver was aiming to break the 3.5-hour barrier in this year’s attempt. In fact, he seems to have been caught up in the mood that seized the elite race this year, for whilst Kenya’s Samuel Wanjiru was winning a closely-fought men’s race in a new course record time, Oliver’s time of 3 hours, 28 minutes and 12 seconds was not only well under the 3.5-hour mark, but also a significant personal best.
More importantly, Oliver tells us that he has raised over £1,250 for Helen and Douglas House – the Oxford-based charity that provides support and care for children with life-shortening conditions. Chambers and Oliver would like to thank those of you who have donated so far.
I say “so far”, because it is not too late to sponsor Oliver retrospectively and donations will be accepted for approximately the next two months. Those wishing to donate should visit: http://www.justgiving.com/oliverwraight
For more information about the excellent work that Helen and Douglas House do, visit the charity’s website at: http://www.helenanddouglas.org.uk
Oliver was called to the bar in 1998 and his practice ranges across the full spectrum of family law work.
